Greg and Fake's Greg Petre and Fake Petre signing tour of their new Fantagraphics book release, Santos Sisters Vol. 1 stopped in the Bay Area. It was a Greg and Fake signing weekend and took place this past Saturday, March 15 in San Francisco at Silver Sprocket with Ed Luce and Andrew Goldfarb and Sunday, March 16 at Cape and Cowl in Oakland with Simon Hanselmann and Josh Pettinger, who also just released through Fantagraphics, a Tedward book collection as well as a new, non-Tedward comic, Pleasure Beach. Both joint signings were memorable and a lot of fun with Andrew Goldfarb doing a guitar and song performance in the middle of the signing and introduced Morrison Production's legendary Stinckers to Greg and Fake, who heard about them for the first time from Andrew!
In Oakland, the joint signing went on for over three hours with all four signing and sketching in everything the fans brought of their work and spoke with all individually at length!
Greg and Fake brought their floppy back issue releases of the Santos Sisters as well as original art, t-shirts and giveaway stickers and flyers and were personable and graciously talked to all fan attendees. Scroll down to see photos and video of both events. — Chris Anthony Diaz
