A Cartoonist’s Diary

Dylan Horrocks: Day Two

When I started this diary, I planned to include everything I drew during the week, documenting the way I work in fits and starts as the days go by. I don’t like working that way; it just seems to be how my life goes at the moment.

The Magic Pen is the book I’m drawing at the moment. It’s serialized at my website.

The commissioned sketches are the result of a fit of madness documented here. The first one shown is meant to be a member of the Bethgemani, an order of witches who have featured in role-playing games I've run for years, and are even mentioned in Hicksville. I’ve played RPGs since I was 13 (over thirty years now), mostly with the same group of friends. I think I love them as much as I love comics. I’m such a geek.
